Walk Your Path Well Adventures seeks Junior Counselors and Counselors-in-training who have experienced the camp and want to provide a great summer adventure for other campers.  Junior Counselor applicants must be at least 16 and Counselors-in-training must be at least 14 years old. Applicants must demonstrate a positive attitude and great work ethic, and be committed to giving back to the camp that they have enjoyed.

Female Youth Program Director Position:


Walk Your Path Well Adventures seeks a head female youth program director/head female guide for the camp season, Spring, Summer and Fall 2012.


Would a year filled with hiking, rock climbing, backpacking, whitewater rafting, waterfall exploration, swimming, honing wilderness skills, and sharing outdoor adventures with kids be a rewarding experience for you? This camp needs committed individuals, who will work hard to provide a high quality experience for every camper. The camp thrives under the leadership of those who demonstrate a positive attitude, strong leadership, a great work ethic, who are friendly, flexible, and organized. Applicant must be physically strong and capable, mature and responsible, able to help with logistics as well as the health, wellbeing, and safety of our campers.


Skills for the position:

Wilderness skills, botany, naturalist skills

Natural crafts skills, song leading, and storytelling skills

Outdoor training and experience from wilderness leadership schools is highly valued.


Above all, Walk Your Path Well Adventures is seeking a responsible person with character and personal integrity who has passion for teaching kids and sharing/exploring in the outdoors.


Qualifications:

available for the spring, summer, and fall 2012 season

at least 20 years old

experience working with kids, previous outdoor camp experience

experience with outdoor adventure activities and naturalist skills

First Aid, CPR, Wilderness First Aid certification (camp can also provide training)

experienced swimmer

clean driving record and experience with 15 passenger vans (camp will provide training)


Applicants should provide two references/or contact information. References can come from a teacher, coach, mentor, past or present employer. Qualified applicants will be contacted for a personal interview, and will be subject to a reference and background check.


Compensation: Walk Your Path Well can provide room and board. Salary will be discussed based on experience. Also, we can offer weekly training in botany, survival, tracking, nature crafts, wild food and medicine, birding and many other wilderness and naturalist skills.
